You can add audio files to your Website Builder site by embedding SoundCloud files as a section widget. You can also add a SoundCloud file as a media widget. You'll need to create a SoundCloud account and upload your own files to SoundCloud before you can embed them. Learn more. You can embed individual tracks, albums, and playlists.
Add an audio file
From your Manage Site page, click Edit site or Site Design.
Navigate to the page on which you wish to add the audio file.
Click the + icon at the top or bottom of an existing section. This will depend on where you want the section to be displayed - above or below the section.
On the left side, select Widgets.
Click the right arrow until you see the SoundCloud widget.
Choose the SoundCloud widget by clicking the + icon.
In the Apply website style window, select if you wish to apply the original section style or your own website style.
Click anywhere on the sample SoundCloud file.
Click Edit Widget. The Parameters screen will open.
Enter the URL for your SoundCloud file to the Track URL field then select the following playback options:
Auto Play - The file will automatically play. Note: Some desktop and mobile web browsers have settings to block websites from automatically playing sound.
Comments - Allow your viewer to add a comment.
Related - Use Soundcloud's recommended tracks feature. Learn more.
User - This is your SoundCloud username.
Reposts - Allow your viewer to repost the clip.
Visual - Display a large visual for the clip.
Click the UPDATE button.
Click the x to close the Widgets window.
Repeat the process to add additional SoundCloud files.
Publish when ready.
Note: If your audio files are uploaded to a service other than SoundCloud, you'll have the option to add a direct link to your file or add HTML code for your file.
