What are aliases?
Aliases are additional email addresses you can give to your existing email users. For example, you can give your employee, John Smith (john@acme.com), the aliases sales@acme.com and info@acme.com. Messages sent to these addresses will go straight to John's inbox.
You can use aliases to categorize incoming messages, reassign responsibilities within your company, protect your personal email address from spam, and so forth.
How do I work with aliases?
This Help Page has detailed instructions.
If I delete an alias, can I create it again later?
Yes. To recreate an alias, just follow the steps for creating a new alias. Recreating an alias will not recover any deleted or missed email sent to the alias. Recreating an alias is just like creating a brand new alias.
Can I assign the same alias to more than one mailbox?
No. Business email aliases can only be assigned to one person.
Can I sign in to my business email account with an alias?
No. Always sign in to your business email account using the primary business email address that the alias is linked to. If you're not sure what the primary business email address is, it--and all aliases linked to it--can be found in the Email Control Panel.
How many aliases can I have?
Each business email address can have up to 30 aliases.
Why does my old business email address have more than 30 aliases?
Some older Turbify email accounts may have more than 30 aliases. Those aliases can stay as they are. However, in order to add any new aliases to such an account, you'll need to delete aliases until you're below 30.
