Longer is better

Try to select a password that's 12 or more characters in length. And don't let the word password fool you - your password can contain two or more words, like BabyBackRibs.

Don't use public info

You might be surprised how much of your information you share online via social media. Don't use publicly visible things like your name, birthday, login ID, or other easily found information.

Avoid common sequences

Strings like qwerty, 1234, or aaaa are easily guessed by hackers. And remember: your password should never contain the word password!

Be unique

Don't use the same password for multiple sites, no matter how strong that password is. Think of it this way: if you use the same password for 5 different websites and one of them gets compromised, the hacker might then have access to the other 4 accounts.

Keep it fresh

We recommend you change your passwords regularly: once a year at least, but you can certainly do it more often.

Keep it to yourself

Your password is yours. Don't share it with friends, family, co-workers, or anyone else. If you need someone else to have access to your Turbify tools, use the Access Manager.

Don't recycle

Recycling is great for the environment, but bad for passwords. Don't reuse passwords you've used in the past.

Be skeptical

Many spam emails use links to pages that look like legitimate login pages, but actually exist only to get your username and password. Remember: you can always type turbify.com or login.turbify.com into your browser's address bar to make sure you reach our official website.

Lock it up

Your mobile device contains a lot of your personal data, and probably logs in to many sites and apps automatically. Secure your device with a PIN, password, or fingerprint scan and lock the device it when you're not actively using it.
