You must have a Google Analytics account to activate this feature. If you don't yet have a Google Analytics, please sign up here, then complete the necessary setup steps.
Important: If you previously added Google Analytics to your store by manually inserting the tracking code through Store Editor, that code will need to be removed and the Store Editor published. Otherwise, the new Google Analytics 4 ("GA4") tracking information will not function properly.

Update Google Analytics from Universal Analytics to Google Analytics 4
On July 1, 2023, Google stopped processing data for Universal Analytics and replaced it with Google Analytics 4. Merchant Solutions accounts previously using Universal Analytics will need to update settings in their Google Analytics account and Store Control Panel to continue using Google Analytics with their store.
- Migrate your existing Google Analytics account to Google Analytics 4. During the migration, be sure to:
- In the Store Control Panel, disable Google Analytics.
- Enable Google Analytics again, entering your new Google Analytics measurement ID as your tracking ID.
- After Google Analytics is enabled, be sure to publish your Order Settings in the Store Manager.
Note: Google Analytics 4 accounts migrated from Universal Analytics may be automatically configured with GA4 properties that only contain basic features. Advanced configuration in Google Analytics may be needed to fully enable GA4 support for those properties. Visit the Google Analytics help page on the UA to GA4 property migration for more information on this.
