Note: The process below is for domains registered through Turbify via our reseller partner Tucows. If your domain is registered elsewhere, you will need to contact your domain registrar for assistance with the clientHold status.
Did you update your domain contact information recently? If so, you might have missed the required verification step. If this step was missed, your domain may be placed in a clientHold status. This status means that the domain is suspended. You can confirm that your domain was placed on a clientHold status by viewing the Status line on a WHOIS such as WhoIs.com.
The governing body for the Internet, ICANN, requires that all domains have current contact information. When you update this information, we automatically send an email to verify that you, the domain owner (or registrant), were the one who made the changes. ICANN also requires that annual verification emails are sent to make sure the contact information is up to date. See how the verification process works.
This verification email goes to the Registration Contact Email that is shown on your Domain Control Panel's Contact Information tab. Always make sure to keep an up-to-date Registrant email address in your contact information. Otherwise, you will not receive the verification email. The verification email comes from no-reply@help.turbify.com. If you do not see the email in your inbox, be sure to check the spam folder. If the email is in the spam folder, also be sure to mark it as Not Spam.

Please check this email address for the verification email, and take the steps in the message to complete verification. Once you verify your contact information, your domain should be active again within an hour. Note: Although the verification email does not expire, you can also resend the verification email via a link in the yellow box which appears in the Domain Control Panel when a domain is suspended.
IMPORTANT! If you do not have access to this address, please do the following to complete the verification as quickly as possible:
- Update the Registrant Email to an address you check regularly. Remember to select if you wish to disable the 60-day trade lock.
- Save the changes.
- Watch for a verification email to be sent to the new address you just added. Click the approve.domainadmin.com link, then click Verify Information.
- Once verified, your domain update verification will be complete and it should activate within 20 minutes.
