When was the previous Site Search discontinued?
We began decommissioning our legacy Site Search on May 1, 2018.
Why does my legacy Site Search still work?
The legacy site search may still work for a few days in early May 2018 while we load the new search software on all of our servers. To avoid any issues for your shoppers, please
enable the new Site Search immediately.
How do I enable the new Site Search?
We have step-by-step instructions on
this Help Page.
What happens if I don’t enable the new Site Search?
Once legacy Site Search is fully retired, shoppers who search your site will be redirected to your store’s homepage.
How does the new Site Search work?
As far as your visitors are concerned, nothing has changed: they still type into a search box, and they see results that match their search terms.
What’s different in the new Site Search?
- What matters most. The new Site Search lets shoppers filter search results by brand, price, and category, making it easier than ever for them to find what they really want.
- Room to grow. We’ve built our new search engine to be more flexible from the ground up. It may behave a lot like the legacy Site Search right now, but we’ll be expanding its functionality in the near future. Stay tuned!
Why do my shoppers see different results for the same search terms?
Search results are displayed based on a product’s numeric search relevance value. These results aren’t sorted, so products with identical search relevance values may appear in different orders from search to search.
