Important: All FTP sessions require an FTPS connection along with TLS 1.2 protocol support for increased system security.
Note that you are not required to use Cyberduck to connect via FTPS. If you're using a different FTP client, the process for connecting may differ but the settings shown below will be similar for all clients. If the steps below don't match what you see in your FTP client, we suggest consulting the program help for more information. Set up FTPS access in Cyberduck
Note: You can instantly log in to Cyberduck by downloading your
FTP Configuration File in cPanel.
- Click the Open Connection button.

- In the Open Connection screen, select FTP-SSL (Explicit AUTH TLS) from the dropdown menu.
- Enter the information below in the appropriate fields:
- Server: ftp.your-site-here.net (replace your-site-here.net with your domain name)
- Port: 21
- Username: username@your-site-here.net (replace your-site-here.net with your domain name)
- Password: Your password
- Connect Mode: Passive (PASV)
- Encoding: UTF-8
- When done, click the Connect button.

- The first time you connect using Cyberduck, you'll get a This certificate is not valid message. Select Always trust, then click Continue.

- You may also see a certificate trust verification failure message. Rest assured; this is not a security concern. Click the Continue button.
