Set up your SSL certificate
Your website's SSL certificate is installed and configured by default in the SSL/TLS Manager in cPanel. For Website Builder accounts, access the SSL Manager from your My Services page or the Website Builder dashboard. If it is not installed, follow the instructions below to enable your SSL certificate. SSL certificates enabled in the SSL Manager also support subdomains.
Note: An SSL certificate is not available for Domains or Business Mail plans. If browsing to your domain via the secure (https) protocol, such as https://your-site-here.net, the domain will show an SSL error. This will include when a redirect is set on the domain.
Important: Your SSL certificate will be valid for your root domain (e.g., your-site-here.net) and any subdomain (e.g., blog.your-site-here.net). As such, if you change the A and CNAME records for your root domain and the blog subdomain, the certificate must be reissued. The A and CNAME records for your root domain and the blog subdomain must be kept at their default settings if you wish to use the certificate in the cPanel interface. Learn more about SSL.
