Turbify provides Let's Encrypt SSL certificates that are automatically installed for Web Hosting and Domains accounts. If you have a new Web Hosting account, you will need to Run AutoSSL to enable the SSL certificate.
Below are a few troubleshooting guidelines to help you resolve security and installation errors.
I'm getting SSL certificate security errors
If you're receiving security errors on the Turbify Let's Encrypt SSL certificate, first, ensure that the HTTPS Redirect is toggled on in cPanel's Domains module. If you are still receiving errors, uninstall the certificate and reinstall it.
If you are receiving security errors on an SSL certificate from another provider, ensure the self-signed SSL certificate is installed correctly by carefully following these cPanel instructions or contacting the provider.
My SSL certificate has installation errors
If you're receiving errors after installing an SSL certificate, go to the SSL/TLS Status tool in cPanel, then check for any error messages in the Security Status column. If you are using the Turbify Let's Encrypt certificate, sometimes installation errors can be resolved by uninstalling and reinstalling the SSL certificate.
If you are receiving installation errors on an SSL certificate from another provider, ensure the self-signed SSL certificate is installed correctly by carefully following these cPanel instructions or contacting the provider.
My subdomain is not connected to the SSL certificate
Ensure the subdomain's certificate is included in the SSL/TLS Status tool in cPanel. If it is not, run the AutoSSL. If you create a subdomain in the Domains tool, it will not automatically issue a Turbify Let's Encrypt SSL certificate but will issue a self-signed certificate instead. You will need to uninstall the self-signed certificate to generate a Let's Encrypt certificate.
Why does my email SSL show an error?
AutoSSL can only issue certificates for subdomains hosted by Turbify. Because Turbify Business Mail is powered by Yahoo, your mail. subdomain is hosted by them. As such, that subdomain will always show an error if it is enabled in AutoSSL. For this reason, we recommend setting AutoSSL to exclude the certificate.
My SSL certificate expired what should I do?
Your Turbify SSL certificate will auto-renew and is a standard feature of the cPanel web hosting service. If your self-sign certificate has expired and you want to use the Let's Encrypt AutoSSL from Turbify, it may not automatically renew in your account to replace the self-sign certificate. You can install the Turbify SSL following the steps in this Help Article.
If you manage an SSL certificate from another service and it has expired, contact the provider to renew it. Turbify cannot auto-renew SSL certificates from another provider.
Should I delete expired SSL certificates?
If you have SSL certificates that expired, or you're not using a certificate from another provider, you can delete them. Note: It is recommended to always have an SSL certificate enabled. If you're using a Turbify Let's Encrypt SSL certificate, you can install it following the instructions in this Help Article.
